Kids Science Experiment of harmless Explosive Bombs to explore science and chemistry in a more fun way.
What will you need:
- Gloves
- Protective Goggles
- Plastic Spatula
- Small Measuring Cup
- Sodium Bicarbonate
- Colouring
- Large Measuring Cup
- Pasteur Pipette
- Citric Acid
- Table Salt
- Coffee Spoon
- Bowl
- Water
Step by Step:
- Measure 5 ml of citric acid with the small measuring cup. Now, transfer it into the large measuring cup.
- Add 5 drops of colouring (of your choice) with Pasteur pipette.
- Add a coffee spoon of table salt to the measuring cup and mix well with plastic spatula.
- Measure 5 ml of sodium bicarbonate with the small measuring cup. Now add it to the large measuring cup and stir with the plastic spatula.
- The mixture of your explosive bomb must be dry but slightly sticky. If it is too dry add some droplets of water with the Pasteur pipette.
- Wet your hands and collect small amounts of the mixture to create little balls with your hands. Create two little balls and place them in a bowl, with some space in between them, so that they don’t get stuck to each other.
- Let them dry overnight.
- When dry, test your explosive bombs by putting them in water.
